QUOC x Florian Vermeersch
Win the Grand Départ M Pro Lace, painted by hand in your size.
2026 sees the Tour de France start in Barcelona for the first time. To commemorate it, Catalan artist Justo Heras has hand-painted a special edition M Pro Lace for UAE World Tour rider Florian Vermeersch, with the race itself running across the two shoes, from the Sagrada Família to the Eiffel Tower. A second pair is yours to win, see below for how to Enter.
The Story Behind The Collaboration
QUOC rider Florian is a Belgian Classics racer who took the rainbow stripes as 2025 Gravel World Champion and made his name with a podium at Paris-Roubaix. On Saturday, he lines up at the Tour with UAE Team Emirates, among the strongest squads in the race. And this year, that race begins somewhere it never has before: Barcelona.
“The Tour is one of the most special races of the year, and being part of a team that’s going for the victory makes it even more special. Fighting for the win at the Tour is one of my ultimate career goals.”
- Florian Vermeersch
The idea was simple: a pair of QUOC M Pro Lace hand-painted for Florian to mark the Grand Départ, made with an artist of the city.
A close friend of the brand, Justo Heras was the natural fit to paint it. From Tarragona, he founded Laser Barcelona in 2010, a streetwear label of hand-printed tees and merchandise produced sustainably in Europe. As an artist he is larger than life, moving between drawing, murals, screen-printing and analogue photography — pouring Catalan soul, a feel for the outdoors and a lifelong love of cycling into pieces he makes by hand: one-off and unrepeatable. Painting has always run through all of it.
Justo has followed the Tour de France every year since childhood. He reminisces on Indurain in the yellow jersey going over Sestriere, a place he and his family spent the summers. This year the peloton passes through Barcelona and Tarragona, two of his homes, so painting a special edition pair, with the freedom to do it his own way, was a project that landed somewhere personal.
“Painting shoes is something I’ve always done. It grew out of street culture. Just like basketball, skateboarding and graffiti, sneakers were one of my first obsessions.”
- Justo Heras
In his concept, Justo layered in the landmarks of the route, the Sagrada Família for the Barcelona start, the Eiffel Tower for the Paris finish, and Alpe d'Huez, one of cycling's most iconic climbs. On the rider's request, he added a detail only his teammates would catch: a turtle called Francek, Florian's team nickname — and the Slovenian name for the cartoon ‘Franklin the Turtle’. The finished design is unmistakably Justo, carrying the energy of street graffiti in his home city merged with the richness of cycling monument history.
M Pro Lace is built for exactly this kind of stage. A Tour-inspired full-carbon road shoe developed for speed and the toughest race day demands. With a tailored lace fit and elegant silhouette, it’s smooth upper made for the perfect canvas. As Justo tells it, the work flowed out line by line: each pair deglazed with acetone, painted with elastic shoe ink, and sealed under two coats of matte to make the graphic permanent.
Florian's pair was handed over in Barcelona on Friday, the eve of the Grand Départ. The second pair is yours to win.
