Cycling Footwear Designer

You are a passionate leader and cycling enthusiast who really understands the design principles and technical details of cycling shoe anatomy and biometrics. Your creative ability to work effectively both as an individual and in a team environment will drive innovative solutions to product commercialisations that are true to Quoc DNA. The brand is the core and the design of each product is merely a reflection or visual representation of Quoc as a complete entity - a living and breathing organism. You will develop and implement design themes and concepts that capture new markets and increase consumer demand. The designer will work alongside Quoc Pham and with product development team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provides creative leadership and oversight, inspiration and motivation to both the Design and Development team.
  • Works with the design leadership to implement brand vision, design language and product direction.
  • Leads presentations with strong verbal and visual execution, while clearly communicating design vision.
  • Leads, delegates, manages, and drives multiple design projects from conceptualization to finished product, adhering to calendar deadlines. Hands over design kits to development.
  • Communicates all relevant information needed for the development process and assists collaboration with Product Management on defined projects.
  • Travels with the team to factories across the globe, sales meetings, select trade shows, and significant retail regions/districts.
  • Partners with innovation team to incorporate new concepts into seasonal themes and designs.
  • Applies market research, trend insight, and knowledge to interpret business briefs from the product team to select materials, and actively creates and presents new innovative concepts.
  • Creates illustrations and technical drawings for new design concepts and digital renderings of materializations in Photoshop and Illustrator, detailing concept, materials, and development specifications based on Quoc brand design guidelines.
  • Ensures collaboration with the development team to design products within specific pricing goals.
  • Creates and manage timely execution of tech/design packages ensuring all level of detail is accurate.
  • Collaborates and clearly communicate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure design objectives are reflected in the creation and execution of the product.
  • Prepares, present, influence and enable business teams to act on design projects.

Preferred qualifications

  • 8+ years of footwear design experience, preferably cycling footwear Bachelor’s degree in design related field, or combination of education and experience.
  • Mastery of MSFT Applications, MAC OS, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD, etc.
  • Expert ability to create technical footwear drawings, and demonstrate knowledge of current trends and the ability to interpret trends.
  • Strong understanding of an experience employing design, construction techniques, and appropriate use of materials, including extensive knowledge and full understanding of product design and development including outsole construction, last making, materials, color, etc.
  • Complete knowledge of interdependency between design and development, and the ability to drive collaboration between the groups.
  • Highly motivated team player and self–starter.
  • Excellent verbal, visual and written communication skills and problem solving abilities.
  • Strong story-telling skills with the ability to create compelling design stories and themes.
  • Ability to train and develop team members on individual talents; and support internal career path development.
  • Experience mentoring and providing regular feedback to team members that foster skill development and performance improvement.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage and delegate work across a design team Experience designing in the outdoor or lifestyle space.

Product Development & Manufacturing Manager

Are you a highly-organized person who loves working with product and pushing the limits of innovation? Quoc is looking for a cyclist enthusiast who is also an experienced and passionate footwear development manager to join the team and help create better than world-class products. Our goal is to create the most beautifully designed and the best quality product that Pros and cycling enthusiasts alike would like to wear all day long no matter where they are or what they dress with. Our bar is high and we are looking for the right person to join our journey to get there.

Key responsibilities:

  • Works closely with advanced R&D group to seek out and develop leading-edge footwear innovations. Work with world-class designers to find ways to innovate in materials, process and function.
  • Be the leader in footwear development. Work closely with product design and product management to take concepts through commercialization. Be the leader of all footwear development projects and work closely with international teams to prototype, build and commercialize industry-leading footwear.
  • Manages program and team to accurately test all new products for fit and durability.
  • Combining expertise with emerging technologies, work to challenge the norm, innovate and push the limits in footwear. Travel to tradeshows, factories and suppliers to investigate new technology opportunities.
  • Continually finds opportunities to improve design and development processes.
  • Be the leader in costing and own the development gates to hit targets. Work closely with Asia and London teams to coordinate product changes.

Preferred qualifications & attributes

  • BS Degree or higher in industrial design or related fields.
  • Fluent in English in speaking, listening and writing.
  • Passionate about cycling, shoes and possess knowledge of cycling footwear technical details.
  • Ask tough questions to dig out the true answer without conforming to the norm and accepted reality.
  • Don’t take no for an answer.
  • Ability to work fluidly with factories and vendors; communicate forecasts clearly and accurately.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently to all team members.
  • Can think outside the box, creatively solve problems and embrace challenges.
  • A minimum of 5 years of shoes development experience, preferably in the cycling shoe industry.
  • Experience in cost negotiation.
  • Experience contributing to design reviews and ability to provide feedback and give direction based on production capabilities and costing.
  • Ability to work in very detailed product management systems.
  • Incredible listening skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally, 6-7 times per year.
  • Ability to attend trade shows internationally.
  • Extensive experience working directly with suppliers and factories anywhere in the world, preferably in Asia.

Logistics & Inventory Manager

Quoc is expanding fast. Over the past few years, our customer base has grown significantly. Thus, in order to provide the fastest, most efficient and competitive parcel delivery capability, the applicant needs to work with our current system and quickly identify how to strategically partner with key players to build a global-scale logistics system to meet the demand. In addition, the system needs to be integrated with inventory management capability. Continuously improve the inventory allocation and reallocation process utilizing lean methodology. Support the ongoing Asset Acquisition process to facilitate the lowest cost model of parts procurement.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate transportation requirements between the Sort Center, Transportation Operations Center, Fulfillment Centers, and the local logistics service providers.
  • Consolidate data from multiple data sources and generate weekly metrics and daily reports to support business needs.
  • Improve current logistics network and capability to the level of a global-scale ready infrastructure.
  • Conduct weekly inventory check and generate weekly report to support business needs.
  • Provide data-driven analysis to facilitate decisions and drive continuous improvement to QUOC’s inventory model.
  • Work cross-functionally with purchasing and planning to ensure new parts are in place in the correct locations at the needed time.

Social Media & Community Manager

Building a loyal and cohesive Quoc community is our goal. The Social Media & Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s social media strategy and other online marketing activities, including social influencer marketing and global social campaigns. You will collaborate with the other marketing teams to integrate marketing efforts across platforms. This position requires the regular exercise of independent judgment and application of specialized social media expertise to support the overall brand marketing strategy. The Social Media Manager reports directly to the Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and execute social media strategy and content across all social channels.
  • Create, edit, and publish daily content that aligns with our brand vision, builds meaningful community connections, and encourages authentic engagement.
  • Curate user-generated content to optimize customer, social influencer and brand ambassador submissions for creative digital and print campaigns.
  • Lead social influencer marketing strategy including identifying, recruiting and managing influencers to craft quality on-brand content.
