QUOC pioneered the first gravel-specific shoe in 2016, inspired by a bikepacking adventure in Wales across challenging hike-a-bike terrain. The need for a tailor-made solution for modern adventure cycling was clear, a shoe that could deliver optimal power on the bike, comfort over miles, and effortless walkability for camping and exploring nature.
And so the Gran Tourer was born. It uniquely combined a rugged rubber tread for grip, a flexible midsole for comfort, and a premium microfibre upper that would shed water and keep out dirt. Serendipitously in the factory sample room, Quoc spotted a bold pink next to a muted brown—it was a risky but stunning combination–and one that just worked. In that moment the iconic colour border became a hallmark of QUOC's design. The shoe has since become a favourite for bikepackers, gravel racers, and outdoor adventurers for its seamless blend of performance, style, and durability.
